Rec 2 Teaser Trailer Online

January 5, 2009 – 7:00 am
These days, we're bombarded by fan-made trailers but this...appears pretty legit. Filmax Int'l has had a 10-second teaser trailer for Rec 2 lingering on YouTube. The below video was posted last September - well ahead of the film's December principal photography start. If this is indeed the real deal why was it not shown at the American Film Market? Peculiar. Jaume Balaguero and Paco Plazo wrapped shooting last month. With the sequel, they adhere to Rec 's first-persona camera, claustrophobic aesthetic. No plot details have been revealed yet.

A Hostel 3 Update…

January 5, 2009 – 7:00 am
One of the many rumors churned out mid-2008 positioned Scott Spiegel, executive producer of Hostel and Hostel: Part II , as writer and director of the third chapter in Eli Roth's torture-horror series. Sources tell us the producers are thinking about setting this entry in the States. Screen Gems, if you recall, has every right to develop a direct-to-disc follow-up as the company owns the home video rights and juggled those duties on the previous two Hostel entries. What's this mean for Spiegel? Well, he might very well still be...
